| Né à Cagliari en 1956. Diplômé de littérature ainsi que d'une thèse d'art contemporain, il enseigne l'histoire et l'italien à l'université. Il travaille aux théâtres de Sardaigne et du Palazzo d'Inverno depuis 1975, à la fois en tant qu'acteur puis directeur. Il écrit et réalise, en 1996, avec Aldo Tanchis et Antonella Iaccarino, le court métrage La volpe e l'ape, tourné à Cagliari. Il réalise en 2001 le long métrage Poids légers, sélectionné au Festival de Montpellier. Il adapte, dans son dernier long métrage, un roma n éponyme de Massimo Carlotto, Jimmy della collina. | Born in Cagliari in 1956. With a degree in literature and a doctorate in contemporary art, he is a university teacher of history and Italian. He has worked at the theatres in Sardinia and the Palazzo d'Inverno since 1975 as actor and then director. In 1996, he wrote and directed with Aldo Tanchis and Antonella Iaccarino the short film La volpe e l'ape, filmed in Cagliari. In 2001, he made the feature film Pesi leggeri, selected at the Montpellier Festival. For his most recent feature film Enrico Pau has adapted a Massimo Carlotto novel of the same title, Jimmy della Collina. |
