Mitko Panov
Né en 1963 en République de Macédoine. Diplômé de l'Ecole de cinéma de Lodz (Pologne). Depuis 1984, il a réalisé plusieurs films documentaires. Son premier court métrage de fiction, With Raised Hands (1985), est primé au Festival de Cannes 1991 et dans plusieurs autres festivals. Après The Meadow (1998) remarqué au Festival de Clermont-Ferrand en 2000, il prépare Comrades, un documentaire sur la nature de l'amitié replacée dans le contexte de la récente guerre en Yougoslavie.
Born in 1963 in Macedonian Republic. Graduated from the National Film School in Lodz (Poland). Since 1984, he directed several documentary films. His first fictional short film, With Raised Hands (1985), won an award at the Cannes film Festival (1991). After The Meadow (1998), selected at Clermont-Ferrand 2000, he is currently working on Comrades, a documentary about the nature of friendship from the perspective of the recent Yugoslav war.
