Costica Arhir raises his three children in the village of Acui, Republic of Moldavia. His wife has left for Italy three and a half years ago to find work, and has not been home since. In a similar situation are around half of the active population of this country. The documentary film, shot between January and April 2007, uses fictional elements in storytelling and camerawork, creating a stage where the characters interpret themselves. |

Thomas Ciulei
Born in Bucharest, Romania, in 1965. 1979, moves to New York, USA. 1983, studies photography at the School of Visual Arts, New York. 1990, studies documentary film at the Munich Film School, Germany. 1992, graduate, film department, New York University. 2000, part time lecturer at the Munich Film School. Films: Face Mania (1997), Asta E (2001), The Flower Bridge (2007). Works as producer, director and director of photography.
