Abdenour Zahzah
Born in 1973 in Blida, Abdenour Zahzah is an Algerian director. After studies in audiovisual at the University of Algiers, he managed the Blida film library from 1998 to 2003. He made his first documentary, Frantz Fanon, Mémoire d’Asile, in 2002; this was presented at the Montpellier Festival. This was followed by several documentaries and institutional films. Garagouz, his first fiction short in 2010 won 25 international prizes including the Public-Midi Libre prize at the Montpellier Festival. He is currently completing L'Oued, his first long documentary.
