They plan to snatch the priceless 13th century Koran from Selim's father, Veli Hoca, using blackmail. Veli Hoca gives the Yakut Koran to his son's kidnappers. |

Dervis Zaim
Zaïm Dervis graduated from the Management Department of the Bogazici University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in 1988. He started to work on film by shooting the experimental video Hang the Camera in 1991. The next year he made the TV documentary Rock Around the Mosque. He wrote the screenplay of his first feature, Somersault in a Coffin. This film was awarded with four Golden Oranges for Best Film, Best Screenplay, Best Actor and Best Editing in the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival in 1996. Elephants and grass (2000) is the second feature he wrote and directed. Mud (2003), Dot (2008).
