Houria, twenty-three years old, locked up and raped, manages to escape. Rejected by a society which puts the blame on her, she roams from city to city. Mohamed Yargui

Born 1972 in Bejaia, Algeria. After completing his studies in agronomy, he taught French as a volunteer for the literacy program Alpha, where he discovered a taste for writing. He then enrolled in courses on drama and cinematographic technique at the Maison de la Culture de Bejaia, where as part of a workshop he made his first short film, Au bout du tunnel. Houria, his second short, produced and directed with professional resources as part of "Alger capitale arabe”, was in competition at Cinemed 2008. Since then he has worked as first assistant director on the feature-length film by Abdelkrim Bahlloul, Le Voyage à Alger, and as actor in plays produced by the Théâtre régional de Bejaia. In 2016 Yargui integrates Soumam Radio, where he drives a cultural program "Arts droplets." I Promise You is his last fiction short.
