A godforsaken mountain village is the only home that a young football player, a miser peasant and a fat girl have. This isolated part of the country finds itself in the middle of the referendum for or against the EU. Our characters couldn't care less - they are absorbed in their problems. The young football player who accidentally killed his mother doesn't want to join a rich foreign football team and is willing to risk his father's love because of it. The lonely fat girl is so desperate for a friend and for a lover that she will end up seeking both in the pigsty. The miserly peasant finds out that real misery is loneliness. |

Dalibor Matanic
Born in 1975, in Zagreb, Croatia. In 1993, he entered film and TV directing at Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb, Croatia. He worked as an assistant director on films of Zrinko Ogresta and Zoran Tadic. In 2000 he made his first feature The Cashier Wants to Go to the Seaside which won him an award for best Croatian newcomer director. In 2002, he directed the short film, Drought, shown at the Director's Fortnight in Cannes 2003. Then he directed several long features Fine Dead Girls (2002), 100 Minutes of Glory (2004) and Kino Lika (2008). He is preparing a new feature film, Mother of Asphalt.
