| Né en 1949 au Maroc, il a grandi en Algérie et en France. Il a fait des études de littérature française à l'Université de Lille et a travaillé comme assistant réalisateur pour le cinéma et la télévision française. A vingt-quatre ans il est parti en Israël où il a réalisé un film sur la première colonie juive à s'installer sur le plateau du Golan. Depuis 1975 il poursuit une carrière de photographe. Il est lecteur à la Betsalel Academy for the Arts and Graphic Design à Jérusalem. Ses vidéos et ses travaux photographiques et holographiques ont été exposés en Israël, au Canada, aux Etats-Unis et en Europe. Son film Naomi's Corset (2004) a reçu une mention spéciale au Fipa en 2005. | Gérard Allon was born in Morocco (1949), grew up in Algiers, then in France. He learned French literature at the Lille University and worked as director assistant for the cinema and the French television. At age 24 he went to Israel and made a movie on the first Jewish settlement on the Golan Heights. From 1975 he has developed an Artist photographer career. His works are part of several art collections in Israel and abroad. He is a lecturer at The Betsalel Academy for the Arts and Graphic Design in Jerusalem. His video, holographic and photographic works have been exhibited in Israel, Canada, the United States and Europe. His movie Naomi's Corset (2004) received the Mention Speciale du Jury at the FIPA 2005. |
