| Omar El Zohairy est né au Caire en 1988. Après ses études secondaires, il suit sa passion pour les arts et s’inscrit à l’Institut supérieur du cinéma à l’âge de dix-huit ans. Il termine actuellement sa dernière année en section réalisation. Il a mené à bien deux projets de courts métrages et travaille depuis 2007 comme assistant réalisateur sur des films publicitaires pour la télévision, sur des longs métrages et des documentaires. Il travaille actuellement avec Yousry Nasrallah et de nombreux autres cinéastes en tant qu’assistant réalisateur. Il a écrit le scénario de Zafir (Expiration) en 2009 et l’a réalisé en 2010, en appliquant le concept qu’il souhaite développer : associer un mode de production indépendant au savoir-faire du cinéma commercial. | Omar El Zohairy was born in Cairo in 1988. After finishing High School, he followed his passion towards arts and applied for the High Institute Of Cinema at the age of 18. He’s currently in the last year in the Directing section. He made 2 short fiction projects and working since 2007 as an assistant director in TV commercials, long features and documentaries. He is currently working with Yousry Nasrallah and many other filmmakers as an assistant director. He wrote the script of Zafir in 2009 and directed it in 2010 with the same concept he wants to develop which is combining the independent way of production with the commercial filmmaking skills. |
