| Né à Damas, Syrie en 1974. Il passe une grande partie de son enfance en France et entre à l’École supérieure de commerce de Normandie. Diplômé en 1996, Anas travaille d’abord dans l’industrie pétrolière, avant de tout quitter pour se consacrer à sa passion, le cinéma. Aux États-Unis, il apprend le métier de producteur aux côtés de Frédéric Golchan avant de faire l’expérience des plateaux comme assistant réalisateur sur The Adventures of Frank Dern. En 2002, il fonde BintFilm avec Nicole Ballivian, il y développe plusieurs projets et assure la production déléguée de Driving to Zigzigland (2006), long métrage qui rencontre un grand succès dans les festivals. Rentré à Damas, Anas co-réalise avec Rana Kazkaz son premier court métrage, Jour sourd (2011). Il travaille actuellement avec elle au développement de deux longs métrages : Damascènes et The Sytuation. | Born in Damascus, Syria, in 1974. He spent much of his childhood in France and entered the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Normandie. After graduating in 1996, Anas worked first in the oil industry before dropping everything to devote his life to his passion—the cinema. He learned the trade of producer in the United States with Frédéric Golchan before working on sets as assistant director during the shooting of 'The Adventures of Frank Dern'. In 2002, he founded BintFilm with Nicole Ballivian where he developed several projects and was associate producer of 'Driving to Zigzigland' (2006), a full-length feature film that met much success at festivals. On his return to Damascus, Anas co-directed his first short film, 'Jour sourd (2011)', with Rana Kazkaz. He is currently working with Rana Kazkaz on the development of two feature films, 'Damascènes' and 'The Sytuation'. |
