Biography |
| Née en 1964 à Sète. Elle suit une formation en cinéma expérimental et cinéma d'animation au San Francisco Art Institute en 1990 avec Larry Jordan. Elle soutient un doctorat d'arts plastiques sur l'archéologie de l'audiovisuel et la poétique de la projection en 1993. Ses réalisations mélangent différents supports de projection (diapositives, pellicules super 8 et 16 mm, vidéo) et ses installations recourent à la projection d'images fixes et animées. Plus récemment, ses dernières réalisations explorent la mémoire de sa famille d'origine pied-noir. | Born in Sète in 1964, she studied experimental and animation cinema at the San Francisco Art Institut with Larry Jordan. She has a PHD in Plastic Arts, the Archeology of cinema and the poetic of screening. Her films mix various screening techniques (slides, super 8 and 16mm film, video) and her installations are made up of still and animated images. Her latest works explore the memory of her family of a North African origin. |
