| Après des études de lettres et de cinéma, il entre au mensuel Première où il reste huit ans, puis décide de devenir journaliste indépendant et entreprend alors de multiples collaborations, de Paris Match à Gala, en passant par France Soir, Epok, Le Nouveau Cinéma, Notre Temps et même… Midi Libre. Il occupe également les fonctions de rédacteur en chef pour des mensuels gratuits ainsi que pour le bimestriel bilingue Présence du cinéma français, tout en participant pendant trois ans à un talk-show culturel animé par Daniela Lumbroso sur LCI. Aujourd'hui collaborateur fidèle de TéléCinéObs, Le Film Français et Pleine Vie, il est l'auteur de plusieurs biographies consacrées à Woody Allen, Cyril Collard, James Dean, Jacques Tati, la dernière en date, Bernard Blier, un homme façon puzzle, sortie en mars 2009 et désignée Meilleur livre de l'année par l'Union des journalistes de cinéma (UJC), lui ayant été inspirée par sa rencontre avec ce comédien en 1985… à Montpellier. | After studying literature and the cinema, he joined the staff of the monthly Première, where he stayed for eight years before deciding to become a freelance journalist. He then worked for numerous publications, from Paris Match to Gala, by way of France Soir, Epok, Le Nouveau Cinéma, Notre Temps and even Midi Libre. He was also editor in chief of free monthlies and of the bimonthly bilingual magazine Présence du cinéma français, while participating for three years in a cultural talk show chaired by Daniela Lumbroso on LCI. He now writes regularly for TéléCinéObs, Le Film Français and Pleine Vie, and has written several biographies: Woody Allen, Cyril Collard, James Dean and Jacques Tati. The latest-on Bernard Blier, a man built like a jigsaw puzzle-was published in March 2009 and scooped the Best Book of the Year award of the Union des journalistes de cinéma (UJC). The book was inspired by a meeting with the actor in 1985 in Montpellier! |
