| Né en juin 1942 à Tirana (Albanie). Diplômé de l'Académie des Beaux-Arts de Tirana en 1964, il travaille comme acteur et metteur en scène au Théâtre national de 1964 à 1972, puis comme réalisateur pour la télévision nationale de 1974 à 1983. Il intègre le studio Albafilm en 1983 où il est réalisateur jusqu'en 1996. Il fonde la même année, avec Arben Lami, la société de production Eurofilm. Parmi ses longs métrages figurent Un jour viendra (1986) présenté au Festival de Montpellier et Les Noces de Sako (1998). | Born in Tirana in 1942, he studied at theAcademy of Fine Arts in Tirana between 1964 and 1972. He begans his career as an actor and director at the National Theater, and went on to work in television. From 1993 to 1996, he worked as a director at Albafilm Studio, and then, in 1996, he founded Eurofilm with Arben Lami. He directed The General of the Dead Army (1976), The Letter's way (1978), The Warm Wind of the Depths (1981), To Die Standing (1984), A Day Comes (1986) presented at Montpellier Festival, The Butterfly in my Cab (1987) and Sako's Wedding (1998). |
