| Roberto Meddi est né à Rome en 1953. Il commence sa carrière comme assistant photographe de Tazio Secchiaroli. Il travaille ensuite comme caméraman puis comme directeur de la photographie sur de nombreux films depuis 1980, avec des réalisateurs tels que Giuseppe Piccioni, Pappi Corsicato ou Francesco Calogero. Il a également réalisé l'image de nombreux documentaires, vidéoclips et films publicitaires. Le court métrage La Chute finale (1994), son premier film en tant que réalisateur, reçoit une mention spéciale du jury au 17e Festival du cinéma méditerranéen de Montpellier. Il réalise par la suite un film documentaire, La Fenice nel deserto (1998) et Ponte milvio (2000) son premier long métrage. |
Roberto Meddi was born in Rome in 1953. He began his career as assistant still photographer with Tazio Secchiaroli. He went on to become an assistant camera operator. In 1980 he made his first movie as a director of photography, and since then has worked with many directors, notably Giuseppe Piccioni, Pappi Corsicato, Francesco Calogero. In 1984, he directed the feature short film Io mi salvero ?, which had the Special mention of the jury at the 17th Mediterranean film festival in Montpellier in 1995. Ponte Milvio (2000) is his first full-length feature film. |
