| Emir Kusturica est né en 1954 à Sarajevo. De 1973 à 1977, il étudie à l'académie de cinéma de Prague (la FAMU). Dès 1979, il commence à travailler à la télévision yougoslave puis, en 1981, il réalise son premier long métrage. Il a enseigné à l'Université de Columbia aux Etats-Unis. Ses films : Une partie de la vérité (CM), Automne (CM), 1973-1977 ; Guernica (CM-1978) ; Les jeunes mariés (MM-1979) ; Buffet Titanic (MM-1980) ; Te souviens-tu de Dolly Bell ? (1981) ; Papa est en voyage d'affaires (1985) ; Le Temps des gitans (1989) ; Arizona Dream (1993) ; Underground (1995) ; Chat noir, chat blanc (1998) ; La Vie est un miracle (2004) ; Promets-moi (2007). | Emir Kusturica was born in Sarajevo in 1954.
