| Né à New York en 1964, Eytan Fox a grandi à Jérusalem et étudié à l'École de cinéma de Tel-Aviv. Son premier film Time Off remporte le Movie of the Year Award de l'Institut du Film Israélien en 1990. Son premier long métrage Le Chant de la sirène (1994) fut un grand succès au box-office israélien. Il réalise ensuite la série télévisée Florentine (1997-2000). Puis il tourne en 1998 un film musical pour la télévision israélienne, Gotta Have Heart. En 2002, Yossi et Jagger est présenté au festival de Berlin, tout comme Tu marcheras sur l'eau (2004), son troisième long métrage qui lui apporte la reconnaissance internationale. Après The Bubble (2007), il réalise Yossi, la suite de Yossi et Jagger. | Born in new York in 1964, Eytan Fox grew up in Jerusalem and studied in the Tel Aviv's Film School. His first film Time Off won the "Movie of the Year Award" at the Israeli Film Institute in 1990. His first feature film Song of the Siren (1994) was a great success in Israel . Then he directed the TV series Florentene (1997-2000), about young people before and after the murder of Rabin. In 1998 he directed a musical drama for Israel's Channel 2 Gotta Have Heart. In 2002, Yossi and Jagger was presented in the Berlin Film festival, as Walk on Water (2004) which is his third feature film. |
