| Né à San Sebastian en 1935, Javier Aguirre a réalisé plus de soixante films, huit étant d'avant-garde. Dans les années 70 il crée "l'anti-ciné" qu'il expose par le biais de huit courts expérimentaux et expose ses théories dans un manifeste du même nom. Il explore dans une trentaine de courts toutes sortes d'expressions du langage cinématographique, de l'abstrait au documentaire. Il a obtenu des prix à San Sebastian, Bilbao, Valladolid, Venise. Parmi ses longs métrages avant-gardistes on trouve Vida / Perra (1981), Continuum (1987), The Sailor, Voz (2000). | Born in San Sebastian in 1935, Javier Aguirre has directed over sixty films, eight of them being avant-garde. In the 70's, he created the "anti-cine" with eight short films of extreme experimentation and exposed his theory in a book "manifesto", with the same name "anti-cine". Aguirre has explored in over thirty short films all kinds of different expressions of the cinematic language from abstraction to documentary. He has obtained prizes in San Sebastian, Bilbao, Valladolid, Venecia. Among his avant-garde long films there are Vida / Perra (1981), Continuum (1987), The Sailor, Voz (2000). |
